基辛格：中美都有责任为了世界和平与进步，寻找合作方式

2019年是中美建交四十周年，在“2019中国发展高层论坛专题研讨会”上，基辛格协会主席、美国前国务卿亨利·基辛格博士为中国发展高层论坛专题研讨会带来几句话。

我很荣幸能够像以往一样为中国发展高层论坛说几句话。

此次专题研讨会召开的时间点非常重要。

中国和美国是在技术，政治经验和历史方面最有能力影响世界进步与和平的国家。

他们有着不同的历史和不同的文化，因此他们之间合作的挑战非常大。

我有机会参与中美关系四十年，我坚信两国都有责任为世界和平与进步找到合作方式，解决他们面对的重大问题。

我希望这次的会议能为这项工作做出贡献。

It is my honor to say a few words to the China development forum as I have done on a number of previous occasions.

You are meeting at a very important moment.

China and the United States are the two countries that have the greatest capacity in terms of their technology, their political experience, and history, to influence the progress and peace of the world.They have a different history and a different culture so that the challenge of cooperating between them is very great.

Having had the opportunity to participate in the Sino-American relationship for forty years, I believe strongly that both countries have a duty to the peace of the world and the progress of the world to find means of cooperation to solve the important problems they have before them.

I hope that your conference will make a contribution to the effort.
