China Development Report 2007 Introduction
To instigate policy discussion on the challenges of poverty reduction faced by China, China Development Research Foundation,decided to produce the “China Development Report 2007: Elimination of Poverty through Development”. In May 2006, the project team conducted field survey in poverty-striken rural areas of a few Chinese provinces . So far, the team had completed twenty background reports, data analysis and policy assessment for the final report. The Chinese and English version of the report will be published in September 2007.
