The 3rd China Executive Leadership Program

      In July 2007, China Development Research Foundation, as one of the co-organizers, implemented for the third time the China Executive Leadership Program (CELP 2007) together with the Organization Department of CCCPC, China Industry Development Research Center of Peking University, University of Cambridge, and Copenhagen Business School. Most participants of CELP 2007 are senior executives from the largest state-owned enterprises of China and the industries of these enterprises cover a broad spectrum of economic area, including aeronautic, aerospace, equipment manufacturing, energy and power, automobile, finance, telecommunications, and foreign trade.

      Building on the experiences of the previous two years, improvement has been made on agenda-setting, choice of lecturers, and topics for discussion which helped enhance the relevance and practicability of the program.. Through lectures and discussions, participants of the program probed into selected topics from various theoretical and practical angles, exchanged views by combining the rationale and objectivity with empirical evidences. Through presentations, Q&A, and discussions, the participants benefited from face-to-face encounter with renowned entrepreneurs and scholars, further expanded their understanding of different models of economic development, and learnt from the lessons and experiences of different corporations and countries in their practices in corporate governance and institutional innovation.
